Meet Aaron and Nichole Savage
“My wife and I are greatly indebted to the CCCOEO’s Individual Development Account. Without their Matched Savings program we would not have been able to afford the down payment on our first house. The Finance classes offered tailored solutions and interactive support for organizing our budget, navigating modern financial institutions, mitigating penalties and implementing wise saving strategies. We are especially indebted to Mr. Butcher’s and Mr. Price’s kind commitment, unwavering support and after-hours phone calls, texts and emails from securing our place in the IDA program to seeing our matched funds applied to our home purchase with such short notice. For three years we’d been searching for a house with acreage to start a small family farm. The previous owners farmed this land with their seven children and we hope to continue that tradition with our (currently) two children for generations to come. Their dream to pass their farm to a young industrious family was fulfilled through the IDA program as well. We owe Mr. Butcher, Mr. Price, and the CCCOEO staff for so many wonderful memories even in these few weeks of occupancy. Boaz (our two year old son) loves pushing his wheelbarrow through the field, playing with the baby chicks and helping Dadda with handiwork around our hundred year old farmhouse. Anna is Momma’s helper in the kitchen, mostly cutting her new teeth on rubber spatulas, and loves splashing in her kiddy pool on the lawn. My wife and I are incredibly grateful and humbled by the generosity which allowed us these many blessings. Thank you again for the care, support and provision as we navigated the oft deep waters of first time home ownership!”
Sincerely,
Aaron and Nichole Savage
Our IDA Program at Work.
“The Individual Development Account (IDA) Program was a big help to me because I was able to save money and have matching funds that I used as a down payment on my brand new home. Being a homeowner is important to me and now I have an asset I can pass down to my daughter. Without the help of Camden County OEO, it would have taken me much longer to buy my first home.” – Lydia Wharton
